Therapy
Therapy focuses on processing past wounds, traumas, and current mental health issues through a deep exploration of emotions and experiences.
Counseling
Counseling typically involves short-term support to help individuals navigate specific challenges or transitions in their lives, focusing on problem-solving and skill-building.
Coaching
Coaching emphasizes setting goals, creating action plans, and providing accountability to help clients achieve personal or professional success.
What I work with
Therapists are trained professionals who provide support, guidance, and tools to help individuals navigate through these challenges in a healthy way. If you’re struggling with any of these issues, seeking therapy can be a beneficial step towards improving your mental health and overall well-being.
How I work
I work as an integrative therapist. What that means is that I am training in a variety of different therapy approaches so that we can use a wide range of tools and perspectives, based on what seems to be most effective for you, personally. We are all unique and will find different things helpful in our own therapy, counseling or coaching process.
As a Transactional Analyst in training, I will tend to focus on the exchanges that occur in the room between us as client and therapist. Tuning into the interactions that emerge in the therapy room can often help us better understand your experience outside of therapy in everyday life.
I will also use techniques from Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and Gestalt Therapy approaches as these fit your specific needs and goals.
